Kaffa is one of the best coffees in the world, originating in the heart of the Ethiopian rainforest and the birthplace of Arabica coffee history.
Kaffa is a descendant of the first plant from which all other coffee crops originated, and since the first plant appeared many centuries ago, many more have grown spontaneously since then – or so the story goes.
Communities in the region have passed down secrets from generation to generation on how best to preserve the kava plant and harvest its fruits. After careful selection, the green beans are harvested entirely by hand and dried naturally in the sun.
Among the many stories told in the world of coffee, one of the most popular and fascinating is that of a young shepherd named Kaldi, who lived in the Kaffa region around 850 AD.
According to the story, Kaldi first discovered coffee berries through his goats. One day, he noticed that his goats were acting strange after consuming some red berries. They were full of energy and excitement, so he decided to try them himself. A curious monk also happened to be passing by, and both were amazed by the effects.
This discovery sparked a new tradition, one that has been passed down for generations and is now widely used all over the world. From that point on, the monks in the region of Araba Felix began drinking coffee berries infusions to experience the amazing effects of coffee berries.
What is so special about Kaffa?
Kaffa coffee is one of a kind. It is a bold, long lasting, full-bodied, and truly unique coffee blend.
The slow roast process preserves the organoleptic quality of the coffee, which is the secret to its unique aroma, taste, and body.
It is said that Kaffa coffee originated as a plant, and later as a beverage, in the region of Kaffa in Ethiopia, where today there are between 6,000 and 10,000 varieties of Kaffa coffee plants.
In fact, the origin of coffee is in Ethiopia.
The origin of coffee is the origin of coffee.
